RIS celebrated German Unity Day and 10 years of PASCH

RIS celebrated German Unity Day and 10 years of PASCH. H.E Mr Martin Kobler Ambassador of Germany to Pakistan graced the occasion with his profound presence. MS Christine Rosenberger –Head of Press and Cultural section accompanied him.
Roots German Language department (RFLD) under the leadership of RIS CEO Mr. Walid Mushtaq aims to build up a network to awaken students’ interest and enthusiasm for German language and German Society. It offers a unique frame of activities and programmes alongside German language courses and a platform to excel and explore multiple opportunities. Roots German Language Department striving to develop students with strong language skills and analytical abilities they need to polish in higher education and future careers. Department is focused towards responding to the needs of students by providing quality education and tapping the potential excellence through cultural exposure and language diversities.
In 2008 Goethe Institute started its PASCH project and RIS is one of those schools who initiated this project from the first day of its launching in Pakistan, not only at college level but in primary and high schools also. Since then, with the collaboration of the Goethe Institute. PASCH stands for “Schulen: Partner der Zukunft” (Schools: Partners of the Future).The PASCH partner schools ‘initiative is a venture into bringing schools from all over the world at one platform. The Goethe Institute plays key role in developing the PASCH initiative and RIS is an active member of this forum. As a PASCH partner school., students participate in the language youth camps and students’ forums at the regional and international levels at different destinations around the world. The PASCH partner schools also participate in various projects that are shared by schools all over the world. Roots international school has always been in the forefront of all PASCH schools activities.
Roots German Language Club is a versatile exclusive club whose membership comprises German Language students. Number of activities are being performed and carried out in an aspiring way. The lively German Language Club is one of the active clubs in Roots international Schools and plans a lot of events to involve everyone around. At German Language Club we embrace diversity and commit ourselves to providing quality standard, language services and social programmes at convenient times in comfortable environments.
Mr. Walid Mushtaq during his welcome speech said, ‘we wanted to connect the world virtually, by introducing languages in Real Time to promote cultural harmony, trade and investments initiatives. The collaboration with Goethe Insitute and Parsche has proved a great help in making the languages department of RIS a huge success reaching the enrollment of 2000 students by now.
Mr Kobler said: ‘I am astonished to see such a huge number of students studying German Language in Pakistan. But it is possible because the two states share a lot in common. I truly believe that language is only tool to connect the youth to other countries. In a long run this youth will strength the relationship by participating in different student, teachers exchange programs and also summer and winter programs. Rootsian are the perfect cosmopolitan, multi-cultural representative of the nation and RIS is providing quality education in Pakistan. He thanked Mr. Walid Mushtaq, the staff and students for such an overwhelming welcome.
