At Roots International Schools & Colleges, a special curriculum is developed for our little dazzling stars. This curriculum showcases activities that are involved in all aspects of life. The child observes and practices these activities in the environment and gains knowledge through the real experience of how to accomplish life skills in a purposeful way. These activities are cultural and specific to the child’s time and place. These specially formulated activities help give the child a sense of being and belonging, established through participation in daily life with us. Through practical life the child learns about his culture and all about what it is to be human. Generally the activities of practical life revolve around four areas: Caring for the Self, Caring for the Environment, Grace & Courtesy and Movement of Objects. There is another area which encompasses all four areas and which is a very important part of practical life, namely food. These practical and hands on activities are an integral part of any Montessori environment.
Roots International Montessori Program (RIMP) comprises of curriculum that focuses on early years of child development. Roots thematic Montessori is the combination of Montessori philosophy and early year’s pedagogy. Roots International has designed this program by considering national & International factors.
Children are capable and competent to build deep understandings when they learn through all senses and offered choices in their learning experiences according to their apptitude. Our in-house material provides level wise workbook of each subject and guidelines are in form of subject wise curriculum to make the system unified.
Children learn best through the 3 E’s approach Exposure, Exploration & Expansion. Children’s positive dispositions to learning, and to themselves as learners, are essential for success in school and beyond.
Children learn best in environments where there are supportive relationships of the teachers, Branch heads and administrative staff.

Early childhood programs are most effective when they recognizes, value and build upon the cultural and social experiences of children. Building continuity of learning as children move to and through school provides foundations for their future success. Assessment of young children is an integral part of the learning teaching process. Beyond the Class room activities is a very important part of our curriculum.

  •    1. For English & Urdu: Four areas are reading, writing, listening and speaking.
  •    2. For Mathematics essentials part is Mental Math’s, concept clarity, practice and application.
  •    3. General knowledge curriculum enhances child’s general knowledge through activities.

At the 0-3 level we develop the skills needed for practical life, through modeling and collaborative presentations. On the 3-6 level we refine these skills giving formal presentations, working towards increased concentration, exactness and precision. On both levels, the thematic based exercises teach the child sequencing, develop concentration and aid in language development. These exercises prepare the child for the Sensorial Exercises of the 3-6 environment and the everyday activities of his life, producing a contributing independent member to his world.
