Taking place from January 18-19, the conference was part of the German initiative "Schools: Partners for the Future" (PASCH). The Bangkok convention focused on career prospects for graduates in German. German companies and firms had been invited to the conference, to present the various career and development possibilities in German companies.

This international conference provided ample opportunities for the delegations, to network with other high officials in South and Southeast Asia and thereby laying the foundations for international collaborations which prepare students for the challenges in a globalized world. The conference started with the welcoming speeches by Mr. Markus Biechele, Head of Language Programs, Goethe-Institut South Asia H.E. Rolf Peter Gottfried Schulze, Ambassador of Germany to Thailand Ministry of Education of Thailand. Mr. Peter Jandok of Goethe institute China presented his presentation about Foreign Languages - opportunities for graduates.
The second day of the conference was even more interesting as different principals from around the globe talked about Vocational Opportunities and Schools. RIS CEO Ch Walid Mushtaq represented Pakistan and the initiatives and challenges Pakistanis schools face in Vocational Education. The Delegates met 130 high officials and principals from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Australia and Germany. Indeed a great learning experience for all the delegates.
