Welcome to Roots International Schools and Colleges’ Early Years Programme, where we are committed to providing a rich learning environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning for our early years’ students. Our early years programme is based on the Pearson IPLS curriculum, supplemented with our exclusive 21st-century skills enhancement methodologies and resources to equip our students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the 21st century.
We understand that every child is unique and has different needs and interests. Therefore, our teachers work closely with parents and caregivers to create individualized learning experiences that support each child’s growth and development. Our teachers are experienced and trained to deliver a child-centred approach that focuses on each child’s unique needs, interests, and learning styles.
We believe that early childhood education is about more than academic achievement. It is about developing a child’s social and emotional skills as well. Our teachers create a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported, promoting the development of self-confidence, independence, and resilience. We also place a strong emphasis on building positive relationships among our students, teachers, and parents.
Our holistic approach to education aims to provide our students with a comprehensive education that equips them with essential skills for their future academic and personal success. Our early years programme is an integral part of this approach, providing a solid foundation to our students to build upon as they progress through their educational journey. We incorporate play-based exploration and structured learning activities to support our students’ cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
In addition to the Pearson IPLS curriculum, we incorporate our exclusive 21st-century skills enhancement methodologies and resources to provide our students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in a rapidly changing world. These skills include critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, creativity, and communication.

Explore Life Monthly Themes
At RISC Early
Years Programme, we believe in providing our students with a well-rounded education that extends beyond academics. Roots International Schools & Colleges understands the importance of providing young learners with a holistic education that goes beyond the classroom. That is why we have created our ‘Explore Life’ monthly Themes programmme. This programme covers a wide range of topics such as space, technology, water conservation, climate, and recycling. Each month, students are introduced to a new topic, which is explored in depth through a variety of engaging activities and projects.
Each month, we explore a different theme, such as Space, Tech World, Water Saving, Climate, and Recycling. Our teachers engage students in interactive and hands-on activities that help them to understand the topic and its importance in the world. Through this programme, we hope to develop our students’ curiosity, critical thinking skills, and creativity.
During the course of the month, students work on projects related to the theme. They are encouraged to research, collaborate, and experiment to create their projects. This process helps them to develop their problem-solving skills, time management skills, and organizational skills.
At the end of the month, we hold a ‘Theme Exhibition Day’. This is an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their projects to their parents and peers. They present their projects through various mediums, such as posters, presentations, and models. This event allows students to develop their communication skills, confidence, and social skills.
By participating in our ‘Explore Life’ monthly Themes programme, students are not only gaining knowledge about important topics but are also developing important life skills that will serve them well beyond their academic years. We believe that this programme is an essential part of our holistic approach to education at Roots International Schools & Colleges.

Through this program, students not only gain knowledge about important issues facing our world today, but they also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They learn to think creatively, analyze information, and make informed decisions. Moreover, they gain leadership skills by working collaboratively with their peers on group projects.
The learning experience in the “Explore Life” programme is designed to be play-based, which means that knowledge is constructed in a way that is meaningful and relevant to young learners. Through hands-on activities and projects, students explore different concepts and ideas and learn to apply them in real-world situations. This approach not only makes learning more enjoyable but also ensures that students develop a deep understanding of the topics they are studying.
Our Early Years monthly themes programme at Roots International Schools & Colleges is an excellent way to provide young learners with a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom. By combining play-based learning with focus on important issues facing our world, we help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, gain leadership skills, and become well-rounded individuals. The theme exhibition day is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their learning and skills, and we are proud to see our students become confident and socially adept individuals.”
