Day 1 opened with welcome addresses by Dr. Marla Stukenberg, Director & Regional Director South Asia, Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi; Dr. Alexandra Mittler, Director Language Programs South Asia & Deputy Executive Director, Goethe-Institut New Delhi; and Mr. Stefan Winkler, Director, Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka.
The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Georg Gombos, Klagenfurt University, focusing on German for More Opportunities – Promoting German in the Context of Multilingualism.
As the only panelist Principal from Pakistan, Ms. Sobia Abid engaged with international education leaders and held meaningful exchanges with Ms. Marisa Kollenberg, Head of Cultural Affairs, German Embassy Sri Lanka; Ms. Nadeesha Palliyaguru, President, SriDaF (German Language Teachers Network of Sri Lanka); and Ms. Shivali Acharya, Manager Educational Cooperation, Goethe-Institut Pune.
RISC participation highlighted Pakistan’s strong presence at this prestigious regional forum, reaffirming Roots International’s commitment to fostering multilingual excellence, international collaborations, and global educational opportunities.

RISC Leadership at the Launch of Climate Quest Pakistan!
RISC high officials, along with CEO Walid Mushtaq, attended the official launch of Climate Quest Pakistan by Cambridge University Press & Assessment at Serena Hotel, Islamabad.
The initiative aims to build climate literacy among students (ages 14–18) with real-world case studies on floods, heatwaves, air pollution, and Pakistan’s climate policies.
At RISC, themes of sustainability and environmental awareness have long been part of student learning from eco-internships and awareness drives to community service and green campus initiatives. Our participation in this launch reflects continuity in that direction, aligning with our vision of nurturing responsible global citizens and future change-makers.

World Youth Festival in Russia
Muhammad Mustafa Imam, our talented HND student of Roots International Education Network, Zamrud Campus Peshawar, was called to represent Pakistan at the World Youth Festival in Russia. The event brought together delegates from 180 countries to showcase culture, technology, and innovation. It also featured global conferences with governments and youth leaders collaborating across Science, IT, Sports, International Relations, and Artificial Intelligence.
Adding to this honor, Mustafa was also selected for the exclusive Global Grand Challenges (GGC), where only 49 foreigners and 50 Russians were shortlisted. As part of this initiative, he contributed to the development of an AI Train Multi-Model project. His remarkable performance further earned him recognition by the Children’s Directorate, where he achieved a top score and was awarded a fully funded opportunity to participate in both international programs.
